We're building a coalition of environmentally-focused individuals and organizations in Plymouth to protect the famous 1,500 acres that now serve as a buffer around the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant which is due to close in the spring of 2019.
Our intent is to preserve the most highly valued (from an environmental perspective) portions of this property which we believe could be the keystone for a series of connected parcels that stretch from Cape Cod Bay to Myles Standish State Forest and help establish Plymouth as a true environmental destination.
If you or your organization has not yet joined the Coalition please do so now and begin to share your insights on how best to both preserve this unique property and work with other stakeholders (the town, developers, the tax-paying residents) to achieve a compromise that serves all and ensures a future that is climate-resilient, bio-rich and economically diverse.
When you join with us, and as you learn of relevant efforts, techniques or tools that will help us achieve our goals please post them here. We will use this ‘event’ listing as well to notify you of meetings, achievements and challenges.
